  • To record footprints of your functional tests, you need to install Recorder.

Our extension for TestLink aims to monitor status of executed tests and to control the Recorder through its API.

Just include and configure this extension in your TestLink installation. No further action is required during tests, as our extension listens for test executions and communicates with Recorder in background.

  • TestLink 1.9.2 or higher
  • Chome, Firefox, or Internet Explorer 8 or higher.

  1. Download latest version of the TestLink extension from download space.
  2. Unpack this file in your TestLink installation directory. Several files are added in your TestLink install directory (%TESTLINK_INSTALL_DIR%).
  3. Inside %TESTLINK_INSTALL_DIR%/third_party/kalistick/, rename kalistick-default.conf file to kalistick.conf
  4. Edit kalistick.conf to define kalistick_recorder_url parameter. It must point to your Test Advior Recorder URL (for example, http://myserver:9096).
  5. Include our extension in the TestLink template that manages test execution: %TESTLINK_INSTALL_DIR%/gui/templates/execute/inc_exec_show_tc_exec.tpl. For example, you could include inc_kalistick.tpl above the step definitions block:

Included block displays a new panel in the test case execution page:

To start recording the current test case, you click on "Start recording the test case" button. To stop the test, just use the usual button "Save execution".
